Notebooks

I love seeing artist’s notebooks in exhibitions – sometimes I even prefer them to the work itself – as you can trace the trajectory and development of an idea.  There’s often less care given, or rather a lack of self awareness to notebooks, which lends itself to a freedom and privateness that realised pieces don’t allow.  They really are voyeuristic objects to me.  As such, I thought I’d also create a notebook section to the website.
